Matched pair of garnets.
Here is a pair of garnets which I will be turning into earrings as soon as I get leisure to start fabricating the post supports for them. I expect to use the same setting as I used for my diamond earring. Click on the picture to see some other pairs of stones.
Garnet earrings.
The completed earrings came out pretty nice. The knot is more complex than any of the other bezel settings for small stones, and now, seeing these, I'm inspired to go back and "upgrade" some of the older ones. I used a 5x12 Turk's Head knot, tied in 18K yellow gold, about 30 guage wire. Below is a closeup of the stone and the knot tied around it. "How much are they?"
