This is one pattern that is possible with the Prolong Knot. I had to try a couple of combinations before I found one that would make a "real" knot, crossing a seven-loop at right angles to an eleven-loop and merging the common lines. The silver one is made with about twenty inches of pure silver wire, and is a little less than two inches high by one and a quarter inches wide. The gold cross is the exact same knot, but reduced to half the size. The knot has 84 crossings, and even the larger one is a bear to complete -- the smaller cross took several times as long, and involved more loss of blood.
Crosses made with Prolong knot pattern.
