Another very simple knot, formed from a Carrick Bend, or Carrick Knot. Some people refer to this as a Lover's Knot, and it is depicted in Celtic decorations as well. One of the interesting things about it is that it is actually a flattened out three-lead by four-bight Turk's Head.

A Carrick Bend ring in 18 ga fine silver wire.

There are two pieces of wire intertwined, and it is possible to make one of these with enough space in it that the two parts will move independently.
